2013 Golf Instruction General Info

The Penn State Competitive Players Camps are special camps geared toward the competitive player entering grades eight through twelve who play to a 15 or under handicap. During the week, eighteen holes of golf will be played each day. Instruction will include course management, strategies, self-management skill for optimal performance, short game mastery, and full swing mastery. Lectures, demonstrations, and application will focus on the skills players need to take their game to the collegiate level.

Evening classes will be offered throughout the summer for new golfers. The instruction will cover all areas of the game; putting, short game, full-swing, and course management. Newcomers to golf will receive instruction tailored to their needs. The classes are geared to assist the participants with what they want to learn, while providing a fun environment. 

This is a program tailored specifically for BEGINNERS!

The price for each "Get Golf Ready" Golf School is $110 for over seven hours of instruction.  Please see the dates & times each program will be offered below:

PGA "Get Golf Ready" Instructional Program: 

Week 1:  May 7 - 11, 2013    Tues.-Fri.  5:30-6:45PM    Play Golf Sat. 8-10AM

Get Golf Ready is designed to teach everything you'll need to play golf in just a few lessons.  Get Golf Ready will teach you everything you'll need to play golf in just a few lessons. PGA and LPGA Professionals will show you that there are lots of ways to play by combining fun, friends and fitness. Each session will focus on the various golf skills you will use while playing. In addition to learning the basics, you will be guided onto the golf course to put your skills into action in a casual, friendly setting. What You Need to Bring is just yourself, a desire to have fun, and perhaps a few friends to enjoy the great outdoors. Golf Clubs, balls and other equipment will be provided for your use.

A golf school designed for both men and women golfers of all skill levels.  We will divide you into the appropriate learning group.  Instruction will be taught by PGA and LPGA profressionals with several years of experience teaching new golfers, collegiate players, and tour professionals.  We will use both on and off course teaching to provide you the feedback to improve your skills and enjoy the great game of golf!
